- ➤ North Dakota lawmakers are evaluating a free school meals proposal that may appear on next year’s ballot; during a meeting (Dec. 10), food service director Lynelle Johnson estimated costs near $134 million for 2027-29 with potential increases of $6 to $7 million every two years. KVRR
