Make progress on your disquisition and develop your understanding of professional document design at our weekly walk-in workshop on formatting in Word or LaTeX. Bring your laptop, current draft, and questions for practical guidance on NDSU's disquisition formatting requirements and tips to help you expedite your publication review. Addressing formatting issues now can help you avoid last-minute revisions and build skills you can use in future professional writing.

Whether you're getting started or preparing to submit, our consultants are ready to help you:

Understand formatting requirements - Learn about common issues students face and how to avoid them in your document, from the title page to your appendices.

Work more efficiently in Word or LaTeX - Get guidance on templates, document structure, and formatting tools to make your document consistent and easier to update.

Prepare for your publication review - Ask questions about producing your final PDF, identify any missing pre-submission requirements, understand the review process, and make a plan to prepare your document for submission to the Graduate School.

Bring a specific problem or use the session to clarify what needs attention. You can also explore our website to find our disquisition templates and other formatting resources before attending. If you plan to graduate this semester, review the submission and final clearance deadlines and plan out sufficient time to complete the publication review.
