About this event
Did you know – cake is extremely popular in Norway! It holds a special place in Norwegian food culture, celebrations, and social gatherings.
Major events in Norway such as birthdays, holidays, even small informal gatherings with friends wouldn’t be complete without cake – kake. In fact, there are endless variations of cake depending on season, tradition, and location.
Bring a friend and join us for a special demonstration and tasting event in time to inspire you just in time for the holidays!
Participants will:
• Enjoy learning about the background and preparation of three very different types of cake popular in Norway
• Watch demonstrations for preparing and serving special cakes
• Sample all three prepared cakes – YUM!
CAKES ON THE MENU:
Eplekake with Gjetost & Cream Cheese Frosting
Kvæfjordkake: Often called The World’s Best Cake (also called “Verdens Beste”)
