- ➤ Churches United received a $1,000 grant from West Central Initiative to support its work assisting people facing homelessness and hunger within a 100-mile area, and Pastor Devlyn Brooks said he was thankful for the boost. - ➤ Fargo Salvation Army announced that four collectible US gold coins (valued at about $8,300) were found in red kettles around the metro by generous donors. The coins, minted between 1894 and 1924, will help fund community programs until bell ringing ends on Christmas Eve. KVRR
- ➤ Friday at the West Fargo Rural Fire Department, the Fill the Boot event raised $11,501 for Golden Drive Homeless Kids and set a record with 46,215 donated socks, with civic leaders including Mayor Bernie Dardis and guests like Jay Thomas, Scoopie, the Grinch, and Santa Claus (attending).
