- ➤ Capital Credit Union donated $15,000 — along with non-perishable food from both branches — to the Emergency Food Pantry as family needs grew during a SNAP pause. The donation came as daily visits doubled to 150 in early November and will be used to fill food gaps. KVRR
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Joe Nichols will return to Shooting Star Casino on Friday, February 20 — he will perform hits like Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off and Gimme That Girl. Tickets cost $30 and $60 and will be available online on Monday, November 24. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Tim Flakoll—Cass County Commissioner and former state senator—received the Phillip Sirotkin Award from the Midwestern Higher Education Compact last weekend for his strong support of higher education policies. He was honored for increasing student access and promoting open educational resources among Midwest institutions. WDAY Radio
- ➤ North Dakota State University President Dr. David Cook will leave Fargo in early 2026 to become Iowa State President starting March 1 on a five-year contract that pays $700,000 a year. NDSU said an internal transition team will work with state officials to name an interim president—ensuring a smooth change in leadership. WDAY Radio
