- ➤ Fargo's Emergency Food Pantry distributed over half its monthly food supply in one week as more residents needed help putting food on their tables. - ➤ Former Moorhead Police officer Brad Schenck, who served 16 years, died Saturday after a long battle with Grade 2-3 Oligodendroglioma; he was diagnosed in 2016, returned to work two years later, and a seizure revealed his cancer had recurred, with funeral services pending at Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service in Moorhead. - ➤ A local nonprofit named We Are Lasagna Love will host a Thanksgiving Eve Lasagna Marathon on November 26 to assemble and deliver over 60 lasagnas to families in need — volunteers and donations are welcome to support the effort. KVRR

- ➤ Rocky's Burgers, Franks, and Fries opened on Monday, November 10 in south Fargo in the old Taco John's building on the 2600 block of 32nd Avenue South. The restaurant offers burgers, franks and fresh-cut fries and will host a winter gear drive for kids this winter — it is the second location after the one in Minot. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The NDSU Office of Research and Creative Activity announced 11 faculty research fellows to act as strategic connectors—guiding research in materials development, precision agriculture, rural and community health, and cultural stewardship in North Dakota. The one-year fellows will work with faculty across departments to boost innovation and secure new funding for interdisciplinary projects. NDSU
- ➤ On November 6th and 7th, NDSU’s Office of Admission recognized local educators during its Counselor Showcase and Distinguished Education Partner Reception by offering campus tours, presentations, and opportunities to connect with faculty—highlighting the university’s academic programs and campus culture.
