- ➤ Rick Astley arrived as a stray at 4 Luv of Dog shelter in Fargo and is a well-trained, affectionate two-year-old who rides well in the car and on the leash. Volunteers rescued him along with many others over twenty years — the Silent Auction at Fargo Air Museum this weekend, with 615 baskets, will help pay for dogs' care. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ NDSU senior Elena George learned how to plan and send goods through both her marketing classes and a hands-on internship at Doosan Bobcat, where she worked with teams on order plans and supply tracking. She will graduate in December and plans to start a job in moving products efficiently. NDSU
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Nov. 5th, 2025, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and Gov. Kelly Armstrong announced that North Dakota will regulate coal waste through its established coal combustion residuals permit program—making it the fourth state to gain this authority. Officials said the state’s control would cut red tape and allow more flexible updates to standards, while critics warned that looser oversight might increase environmental risks. KVRR

- ➤ City engineers from Fargo and Moorhead held an open house to gather community input on a $7 million pedestrian bridge that will connect 40th Avenue South in Fargo with 50th Avenue South in Moorhead near Trollwood Performing Arts School and Bluestem Amphitheater—construction will begin in spring 2027 and the bridge will open mid-2028. - ➤ FAA employees have missed two paychecks amid a shutdown while Hector International will not see a 10% flight cut today—airports with direct Hector connections face reductions as United cancels about 200 flights and Delta cancels around 170.
