- ➤ Fargo Public Library announced three finalists for its Color Our World Library Card Design Contest as part of the Summer Reading Challenge, receiving nearly 130 designs from kids, teens, and adults. - ➤ Senator Kevin Cramer is asking the DOJ to continue its investigation into the beef market—where four packers control 85% of the finished product—in response to rising meat prices and plans to import more beef from Argentina. Ranchers report that they are forced to sell their cattle for less while shoppers face high grocery costs. KVRR
- ➤ Governor Armstrong said North Dakota will give $915,000 to the Great Plains Food Bank to help cover a funding gap for SNAP, which will run out on November 1 unless Congress acts. He added that an extra $600,000 will support the WIC program set to run out on November 10 + he encouraged donations to the bank’s new fundraising campaign. KVRR
