- ➤ West Fargo reorganized its communications department by naming Rachel Richter Lordemann as Communications Director and making Addie Stewart a full-time civilian with the police department—she will focus on public safety communications for both police and fire services. WDAY Radio
- ➤ Fargo Fire Department is urging residents to buy, charge, and recycle lithium ion batteries using UL listed products as part of its Charge into Fire Safety campaign during Fire Prevention Week—fire officials note that safe battery use is critical after a rise in fires nationwide. - ➤ The government shutdown has halted work at national cemeteries—such as placing headstones—even though Fargo National Cemetery is still being maintained; Jason Hicks of the Fargo Memorial Honor Guard said services may change if the shutdown continues. KVRR
