- ➤ Today at Fargodome, two planes carried veterans returning from D.C. while local families cheered with American flags and signs — the first plane arrived at 6 p.m. and the second about an hour later. This event marked the 21st and 22nd trips for the Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota/Minnesota. KVRR

- ➤ Comedian Bert Kreischer added Fargo to his Permission To Party tour—he will perform at SCHEELS Arena on Saturday, March 14 as his tour extends into 2026 due to high demand. Fargo Underground
- ➤ Halestorm will perform at Alerus Center in Grand Forks on Thursday night as part of their nEverest Duality Tour. Drummer Arejay Hale said fans can expect surprises and hits from their new album Everest — with supporting acts Lindsey Stirling and Apocalyptica also scheduled to appear. KVRR

- ➤ NDSU held a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for Challey Hall on Sept. 26 — the new 9,700-square-foot addition now offers updated rehearsal, classroom, and performance spaces for nearly 160 music majors. Bob and Sheila Challey were honored for their generous gift that expanded the music school. NDSU
- ➤ Four NDSU communication students—April Anderson, Nathan Ambrose, Camille Haman, and Elizabeth Leonard—won third place at the 2025 National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest in Golden, Colorado. They created their mock public relations campaign for Hershey’s Kisses in the COMM 377 media planning class after a first-place win at a state contest earlier this year. NDSU
- ➤ North Dakota State University launched the Peltier Institute for Advancement in Agricultural Technology at a medallion ceremony on Sept. 29—named for Joe ’51 and Norma ’23 Peltier—to fund scholarships, foster interdisciplinary programs and expand research in agriculture, engineering, data science and artificial intelligence. The new institute will help students prepare for careers that blend these fields. NDSU

- ➤ North Dakota State Bison players earned weekly Missouri Valley Football Conference honors after quarterback Cole Payton passed and rushed for key touchdowns—linebacker Nate Starling, wide receiver Jackson Williams, and offensive lineman Griffin Empey also stood out with their strong play. No. 1 NDSU will meet No. 6 Illinois State on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Missouri Valley Game of the Week. WDAY Radio
- ➤ Four North Dakota State players earned weekly Missouri Valley Football Conference honors as starting quarterback Cole Payton completed 14 of 18 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns—he also rushed 11 times for 102 yards and one touchdown. Linebacker Nate Starling, wide receiver Jackson Williams and offensive lineman Griffin Empey received their awards, and the team will play Illinois State Saturday at 6 p.m. in the conference game.
