EDUCATION NEWS

  • Frannie Tunseth from Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Public School was named North Dakota Teacher of the Year on Sept. 26th and Gov. Kelly Armstrong awarded her a personalized license plate — NDTOY26 during a Capitol ceremony. She will represent North Dakota in the National Teacher of the Year competition in spring and continues to champion better professional development for educators.  KVRR
  • Cheney Middle School principal Amber Rudolph said students have mostly followed the cellphone ban during school hours for the 2025-2026 school year. For emergencies, students must check in at the main office before using their phones.  KVRR

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley will hold a press conference in Fargo tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. (City Commission Chambers at Fargo City Hall) (further details were not released).  WDAY Radio
  • County Road 14 will be closed beginning tomorrow for a culvert installation—part of the FM Area Diversion project with ASN Constructors working between 81st Street S and 168th Avenue SE; drivers should allow extra time as delays are expected until October 8 with weather possibly affecting the schedule.  WDAY Radio
  • Starting tomorrow, County Road 14 southwest of Horace will be closed for ASN Constructors to install a culvert for the stormwater diversion channel portion of the FM Area Diversion project—flaggers will direct traffic through the temporary lane closure set to last until October 8 as weather permits.  AM 1100 The Flag
