Heroes Compass will host its fourth annual walk on Monday at 9:22 a.m. at Percy Godwin Park (also known as Elephant Park) to raise awareness for veterans facing suicidal thoughts; the 2.2-mile route will end at the Downtown Fargo VFW Post #762 building as the group notes that 22 veterans commit suicide each day.

At Olivet Lutheran Church, dedicated quilters make about 250 quilts a year—half for local charities—and a special quilt was created for FM Volunteers for Ukraine to help Ukrainian refugee families losing sponsorship and legal work.

The quilt will be auctioned at the Day of Peace Fundraiser at Gooseberry Park on Sunday, September 21 from 1 to 4 p.m.
