  • Protestors gathered on Labor Day along 13th Avenue South near West Acres Mall to demand better worker rights and protest cuts in wages and benefits—one protestor named Susan said these cuts followed promises that never came—and the event was organized by 50501FargoMoorhead after a similar protest last Friday.  KVRR

CRIME NEWS

  • Fargo Police arrested 28-year-old De’angelo Cortez Brent in connection with a shooting in Grand Forks that wounded 27-year-old Antonio Delon Lock after officers arrived on Sunday at 4:30 a.m.—he now faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, terrorizing, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.  AM 1100 The Flag

HEALTH NEWS

  • Fargo firefighters receive annual mental health check-ups—reducing the stigma of seeking help—while Moorhead firefighters are not mandated to have these checks even though about 20% of first responders experience stress during their careers.  KVRR
