- ➤ Fargo Park District is moving ahead with building manmade ponds for storm water retention and a new nature space from 52nd Avenue to 64th Avenue South near Veterans Boulevard. - ➤ North Dakota lawmakers created the Emergency Response Services Committee to study volunteer recruitment and staffing challenges in rural fire and ambulance services, with Rep. Jim Grueneich saying new legislation is expected before the next session. The panel will meet four more times—focusing on drafting proposals and addressing rising costs. KVRR
- ➤ North Dakota Senator John Hoeven said he wants trade talks to require that foreign buyers purchase American agriculture products and to pressure Canada to reduce wildfire smoke that has lowered air quality.
