- ➤ Applied Digital announced plans to build a $3 billion data center called Polaris Forge 2 near Harwood north of Fargo that will include a 280-megawatt artificial intelligence computing center and over 200 full-time jobs—construction is scheduled for September. KVRR
- ➤ The new independent LEGO store Fargo Brick Co.—offering cash for LEGO items and rare sets—will hold a soft opening in September and a grand opening in late October near the West Fargo strip mall at 635 32nd Ave. E. AM 1100 The Flag
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ At 2:13 a.m., Fargo police responded to a 911 text about a burglary attempt at an apartment and arrested ex-boyfriend Cole Simenson when he resisted—an officer sustained minor injuries during the arrest. WDAY Radio
- ➤ Two people died early Saturday in Moorhead when a shooting was confirmed as a murder-suicide — Ramsey County Medical Examiner identified 21-year-old Camilo Acosta and 53-year-old Nancy Acosta and police continue to probe the case. AM 1100 The Flag
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Fargo's North Dakota State College of Science held a grand opening for the Career Innovation Center on 42nd Street—64th Avenue South, with Sen. John Hoeven attending the event for the nearly $35 million facility that will offer technical training to high school and college students. Hoeven said the center will address workforce challenges and provide cost-effective education. KVRR

- ➤ The Fargo Police Department asked the City Commission to approve a new 24-7 remote workstation at the Scheels store on 45th Street South. Chief David Zibolski said the workstation is needed after the department lost its space at West Acres during a fire department remodel. AM 1100 The Flag
