- ➤ Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner said he and his team faced disrespect while walking with Fargo police downtown on August 9—he reported hearing insults, including being called an offensive name three times, and witnessing similar treatment of other officers— and he will return later this week to better understand the challenges his staff face. - ➤ The North Dakota Public Service Commission filed a legal complaint with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to stop the Midcontinent Independent System Operator from forcing the state to pay for renewable energy projects that North Dakota does not require.
