CRIME NEWS
- ➤ West Fargo Police arrested 43-year-old Jake Curtis Baumann after a late night chase on Thursday when officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle near the 800 block of Main Ave and used a PIT maneuver near the 1200 block to force the vehicle to a stop—Baumann fled on foot and was quickly caught, with no injuries reported and charges pending for vehicle theft, possession of methamphetamine, fleeing, preventing arrest, probation violation and outstanding warrants. - ➤ Fargo police responded to a shooting near 10th Street North and 6th Avenue North on Saturday, August 9 just after 12 a.m.—the victim, an adult man with a gunshot wound, remains in critical but stable condition while officers seek a suspect described as a scruffy white male in a red shirt after an earlier altercation.
