  • Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner said deputies will enforce over 2,000 active misdemeanor warrants when the new jail pod opens in August and urged anyone with a warrant to call the county’s hotline (701-241-1283) within three weeks before deputies begin searching homes and workplaces.  AM 1100 The Flag
  • The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports over 2,000 active misdemeanor warrants with deputies ready to enforce them and warns that anyone with a warrant must resolve it within three weeks by calling the county hotline as a new jail pod opening in August will add extra space for detainees—prompting strict enforcement.  WDAY Radio

  • This spring, three NDSU education majors took part in teaching assignments abroad—teaching at Verdala International School in Malta and at schools in Ireland. They gained hands-on experience with diverse classrooms—building global perspectives and practical skills for future teaching careers.  NDSU

  • National Moth Week wrapped up in Fargo as entomologists report that moths are doing important pollination work — helping night-blooming plants gather pollen — and NDSU Extension Entomologist Janet Knodel said North Dakota hosts 2,000 moth species and urged residents to set up moon gardens.  KVRR

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The North Dakota Supreme Court ruled in favor of the City of Fargo by reversing the district court’s decision on a municipal code after Windbreak Saloon overserved an intoxicated patron in August 2023. The ruling affirms the Fargo City Commission’s finding and is supported by substantial evidence — not arbitrary or unreasonable.  WDAY Radio
