- ➤ On July 30, Fargo police responded to a stolen vehicle report on the 1200 block of 36th Street South and pursued 37-year-old Leroy Manning, with Moorhead and West Fargo officers later stopping his vehicle using a PIT maneuver near 47th Street and 32nd Avenue South to arrest him for vehicle theft, fleeing a peace officer and possessing drug paraphernalia. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After 11 meetings that began in April, the Fargo School Board and local teachers union finalized a contract for the school years from 2025 to 2027—one that raises wages for all teachers. Fargo Public Schools will resume classes on August 27th. KVRR

- ➤ At Tuesday’s public hearing, West Fargo’s Special Assessment Commission approved four projects to update local roads and utilities. The plans include utility work in The Wilds 21st Addition, a new industrial use for the Stockyards, a traffic signal at 9th Street W and 32nd Avenue W, and a roadway upgrade on 7th Avenue NW — city officials said these steps aim to modernize infrastructure. - ➤ Fargo is gathering proposals for a new convention center as developers submit ideas by August 7th — city leaders expect at least six to eight submissions and will narrow the options to three to five bidders before choosing a developer to build both the center and an attached full service hotel, with construction planned for summer or fall.
