- ➤ Nearly 37,000 people have enjoyed Island Park Pool since it opened June 17th and officials expect over 60,000 visitors before it closes after Labor Day weekend — breaking the current record of 47,000 at Davies Pool set in 2012. AM 1100 The Flag
- ➤ Fargo Park District officials said Island Park Pool — which opened on June 17 — has drawn nearly 37,000 visitors so far and may attract over 60,000 people before it closes after Labor Day weekend. - ➤ At about 1 p.m. on July 28, police responded near the downtown library after a man reported that a woman holding a knife stole his green bicycle, and after tracking her to Broadway Square they arrested Tiffany Morin—she now faces charges for robbery, outstanding warrants, and drug paraphernalia possession while the victim recovered his bike. - ➤ West Fargo police tried to stop a motorcyclist on a sidewalk near Main Avenue and Center Street just after midnight, but 41 year old Scott Foss fled before dropping his motorcycle near the Sheyenne River and hiding in a wooded area — he was later arrested for fleeing by vehicle and on foot as well as criminal trespass. - ➤ On Monday night, West Fargo leaders advanced plans for a short-term rental ordinance by reviewing other cities’ guidelines—comparing occupancy limits and parking minimums—and a survey will run from August 1st to August 22nd to gather residents’ opinions. WDAY Radio
- ➤ Drivers in Fargo experienced an $80 speeding fine in construction zones on July 28, with fines set to rise to $150 on Aug. 1 as new rules take effect; lawmakers also approved raising the interstate limit to 80 mph on Friday while lowering limits to 70 mph in areas near Dickinson, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Valley City and Medora. New window tint guidelines will also be enforced once updated signs are installed—drivers are urged to adjust their habits accordingly. KVRR
