  • The Red River Market kicked off on July 12 at 10 a.m. in downtown Fargo and will open every Saturday until October 25, except for July 20 when it will be held on Sunday due to the downtown street fair—featuring fresh grown food, products from local businesses, live music and activities for all ages.  KVRR

CRIME NEWS

  • Fargo Police responded to a disturbance after 12:30 p.m. today on the walking bridge over I-94 near 20th Avenue South and 16 ½ Street South — two individuals displaying 86 47 signs sparked a physical altercation that injured all four and led to arrests with reports filed for disorderly conduct and simple assault.  WDAY Radio
  • Fargo Police said that before 10 a.m. Saturday, an adult was stabbed in the neck on the 1300 block of 3rd Avenue North when a property encounter turned violent—35-year-old Jessica McCroskey was arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Murder as the victim received medical care.  AM 1100 The Flag
  • West Fargo Police are asking for tips to locate missing Jonett Wanner, who disappeared more than two years ago at 2:30 p.m. on July 11 with her grey 2017 Nissan Rogue and her dog Scooby—local landowners are asked to check farmland and wooded areas for clues.  KVRR

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Due to high mosquito numbers, Cass County Vector Control will perform an aerial spray in Fargo and West Fargo tomorrow after 8 p.m.—a truck-mounted spray for rural areas will begin Monday after 8:30 p.m.  AM 1100 The Flag
  • Fargo Police will honor fallen officer Jake Wallin with a memorial service at 9 a.m. on Monday at headquarters—officials will lower the flag, Chief Dave Zibolski and Chaplain Pastor Jonas Bundy will speak, and a tribute video will mark his sacrifice after a gunman killed him two years ago and injured two officers and a civilian when Officer Zachary Robinson stopped the shooter.  AM 1100 The Flag
  • Fargo Police Department will honor fallen officer Jake Wallin with a memorial service Monday at 9 a.m. at the Police Headquarters on 25th Street North—his death two years ago by a gunman is remembered with a flag lowering and remarks from Police Chief Dave Zibolski and Police Chaplain Pastor Jonas Bundy along with a tribute video.  WDAY Radio
