- ➤ Just after midnight Friday, West Fargo officers attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle along 16th Street East near 14th Avenue East and arrested Brian Allen Mondor (48) after he fled the scene, and he now faces charges for fleeing, possessing a concealed weapon, driving with a suspended license and outstanding warrants. - ➤ North Dakota’s Department of Environmental Quality warns that air quality will worsen over the coming days due to Canada wildfire smoke — residents with respiratory conditions should limit outdoor activities and check updated air quality information online. AM 1100 The Flag
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officials reported that $13.4 million was awarded to Hector International Airport to expand the terminal by over 35,000 square feet—adding four new gates and a new apron. - ➤ The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded about $31 million to North Dakota airports, with $13.4 million set for terminal expansion at Hector International Airport in Fargo and $10.3 million allocated for taxiway, runway, lighting, and safety improvements at Bismarck Municipal Airport—boosting key upgrades in the region. Smaller grants of $1.3 million or less will fund basic repairs at municipal airports such as those in Cooperstown and Watford City—officials say the funds will support economic growth. KVRR
