CRIME NEWS

  • A man was arrested in Fargo after he allegedly shot a woman in the face with a BB gun on June 21 near a Circle K on University Drive South — police said they responded shortly before 10:00 p.m. and charged him with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.  WDAY Radio
  • A Fargo man was arrested for aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon on June 21 just before 10:00 p.m. after a woman claimed he shot her in the face with a BB gun at a Circle K on University Drive South—witnesses reported hearing BB gun sounds and noted her bloodied injury on her left cheek—and she was also taken into custody for outstanding warrants.  AM 1100 The Flag
  • Fargo police charged 35-year-old Peter Isensee with eight felonies after he threw a large knife at vehicles near the 1st Ave. S. and 10th St. S. intersection just after 11:45 a.m. Thursday—witnesses reported that his actions, including hurling a bicycle and a metal object, broke windshields—and officers later restrained him near the scene.  KVRR

  • North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong will inspect tornado damage later this week after a series of tornadoes struck the region Friday night. He is scheduled to meet with local officials during his inspection on Saturday.  AM 1100 The Flag
  • Fargo City Commission voted to label a building in historic Hawthorne dangerous as no work has been done on its renovation, and the owner has until August 23 to either make major improvements or have it demolished—neighbors cited 11 service calls this year and worry about safety.  KVRR
