Fargo Park District held the 27th Midwest Kid Fest Friday at Island Park, offering free rides, games, and interactive science and nature booths that attracted about 10,000 visitors; a face painting booth (one of the busiest attractions) drew special praise from organizers.

Students and families celebrated the start of summer vacation at the Red River Zoo on Friday with games, free rides, and nature activities.

The event included a pollinator game (kids learned about pollinators) that added an educational twist to the fun.
