The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said a child reported missing near the river in Horace was found unharmed after rescue teams from fire, water rescue and Sanford Ambulance coordinated a search that began shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday — the child returned with a family friend.

Fargo Police confirmed that a body found dead in Oak Grove Park at the 100 block of Maple Street North near the Red River was identified as 28-year-old Aaron Hadley who did not have a permanent address—investigators are working with the coroner and examiner to determine his cause of death.

A Fargo man, Tyreik Taylor-Roberts, pleaded Alford and was sentenced on May 27 to 5 years in jail and 5 years of probation for manslaughter after fatally shooting 25-year-old Jalab Moses outside an apartment complex in September 2024, with 249 days credited for time already served.
