BUSINESS NEWS

  • Fargo-based Pentex Restaurant Group will open a second Taco John’s location on South University Drive in late June. The new restaurant offers extended drive-thru hours until 11 p.m. and breakfast until 11 a.m., building on the success of the first reopening.  KVRR
  • Wurst Bier Hall, a downtown restaurant on 1st Avenue North, is listed for sale at $549,000 — the price excludes the real estate — with financials and leases available upon request; a separate location in West Fargo remains under different ownership.  KVRR

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City engineers held a public meeting on May 26 about 32nd Avenue South's reconstruction, and the intersection of University Drive South and 32nd Avenue South will close today with detour routes provided (local businesses and pedestrian access stay available).  KVRR
  • Fargo city staff will discuss ADA upgrades, maintenance, and a new operating plan for Newman Outdoor Field today; the nearly 30-year-old facility is leased from the state and used by the Redhawks and NDSU, and officials will explore a science museum at the former Mid America Steel site downtown.  KVRR
