- ➤ A petition to save Hornbacher's Express on South University Drive was started by Millissa Martin after Coborn’s announced the store will close on June 27. The longtime grocery, which has served the Hawthorne neighborhood for 75 years, employs 60 full-time+part-time workers at its current location. KVRR
- ➤ Churches United is partnering with local Veterans Affairs to reserve shelter beds and housing for veterans as 275 North Dakota veterans face homelessness. Pastor Devlyn Brooks said many of the veterans coming through the Fargo-Moorhead area need more emergency housing resources. KVRR
- ➤ Yesterday on Memorial Day, families in West Fargo cooled off at Shadow Wood Splash Pad while others attended Riverside Cemetery services to honor veterans. Meteorologist Max Mueller said summer-like heat will persist and Fargo’s Island Park Pool (opening June 1) and others (opening June 8) will open soon. KVRR

- ➤ On April 28, kids in the Livestock Enrichment Program at Red River Valley Fairgrounds met their animals for the first time—12-year-old Frankie cared for Pumpkin the lamb while others paired with goats and pigs; the series will continue until a July auction concludes the experience. KVRR
