- ➤ Mango’s Mexican and American Grill in Moorhead will close on Memorial Day, May 25. Its social media post thanked loyal customers + clarified earlier confusion over its future. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Supporters of a proposed free school meals measure gathered in Fargo to train volunteers in calling local voters for the November ballot; speakers from Together for School Meals coalition, the AFL-CIO, and North Dakota United explained the measure could save families about $1,000 each year. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Volunteers gathered at Rotary Park in Moorhead on May 19 to plant 300 native trees along the Red River and help reduce erosion; River Keepers will plant more trees on the Fargo side on Sept. 23. KVRR

- ➤ At Horizon Middle School in Moorhead, about 10 students became nauseous on Monday after eating suspected THC candy with two needing medical attention—West Fargo pediatrician Dr. Stephanie Hanson warned that these edible cannabis products, which mimic regular candy, can cause serious symptoms in young children.
