EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ High school students gained hands-on experience with heavy machinery yesterday at Demo Day at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds as the North Dakota Construction Leadership Committee organized the event to spark interest in construction careers. Students tested machines (including dozers and excavators) and received guidance from industry experts. KVRR
- ➤ A constitutional measure to fund free school meals will appear on the November ballot across North Dakota after nearly 50,000 valid signatures were accepted; the group Together for School Meals will host a campaign event on Tuesday (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) at Fargo Labor Temple. KVRR

- ➤ High winds and low humidity have raised fire risks in Fargo as a Delta flight was rerouted after landing briefly in Fargo due to 45 mph winds at Grand Forks airport (residents are urged to secure outdoor items to prevent sparks). KVRR
