- ➤ Fargo police responded at 2:30 p.m. Monday to the 3900 block of 13th Ave. S. — where a 25-year-old man died of a fentanyl overdose and 26-year-old Tristen Monsebroten was arrested for drug distribution. AM 1100 The Flag
- ➤ Fargo police chief David Zibolski said a claim that officers ignore shoplifting is not correct—he explained that police follow up on most thefts according to state law and urged residents to report incidents online to track repeat offenders. WDAY Radio

- ➤ Students from over 40 writing classes displayed their projects at NDSU's Showcase of Student Writing on May 7 in the Memorial Union’s Oceti Sakowin Ballroom. The event featured both posters and oral presentations+ giving visitors a look at semester-long work. NDSU

- ➤ North Dakota deer hunting license applications are now available for the 2025 season that begins later this year. The state’s gun opener runs from November 7th through November 23rd (with 42,000 applications now available, down 7,800 from last year) and the deadline to apply is just before midnight on June 4th. - ➤ May is Stroke Awareness Month and the American Stroke Association joined Sanford Health to launch an interactive online F.A.S.T. tool that uses audio and video examples to show stroke signs. The site lets users take a selfie — to see facial droop — and record their voice to help spot speech difficulties so they can get help fast. KVRR
