  • Marge's Diner, a popular brunch spot, will expand into the old Three Lyons Pub building at 675 13th Avenue in West Fargo and is expected to open in late May or early June. Its downtown location at 220 Broadway N will remain open.  WDAY Radio

CRIME NEWS

  • West Fargo Police report that scammers are targeting residents by impersonating Detective Ryan Birney or Captain Derek Cruff and urging victims to send gift cards to settle fake warrants—residents are advised to contact the police directly for verification.  WDAY Radio

CULTURE NEWS

  • Under The Streetlamp will perform classic doo-wop, Motown and rock and roll hits at Fargo Theatre on November 14. The concert features former stars from the musical Jersey Boys, and tickets ($55 and $75 plus fees) will go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m. online or at the Tickets300 Box Office.  KVRR

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • North Dakota activated the State Emergency Operations Center at Level 2 to help local firefighters battle 16 wildfires burning across the state since Sunday, with three fires on Turtle Mountain Reservation burning over 4,000 acres and threatening up to 15 structures—National Guard helicopters and fire engines from neighboring states were deployed to assist.  WDAY Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Governor Kelly Armstrong signed House Bill 1298 to raise the speed limit on interstates like I-29 and I-94 in the Fargo-Moorhead area to 80 miles per hour, up five from the current limit. The bill also increases speeding fines and will take effect on August 1 + drivers should expect tougher penalties.  AM 1100 The Flag
