- ➤ Veterans and volunteers took off this morning from Hector International Airport for an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. and will be away for two nights, with many having served in Vietnam + they are set to be honored during the tour in the nation’s capital. KVRR
- ➤ Today, Fargo begins its annual Cleanup Week with Week A residents having debris collected from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and Week B scheduled from May 12—16. West Fargo runs its cleanup until May 8 while Moorhead collects large items on scheduled garbage days starting at 5 a.m. WDAY Radio

- ➤ Early Sunday morning, Fargo police responded to a vague call near 9th and 4th Avenue South and later treated a man with significant stab wounds found on the 300 block of 9th Street + they are investigating if the suspect and victim knew each other while stating there is no public threat. - ➤ Cheri Gerken, the former executive director of Presentation Partners In Housing, was fired after a forensic accountant found she made unauthorized purchases from 2019 to 2023 and has been charged with felony theft for allegedly embezzling over $200,000—she faces up to 20 years in prison. KVRR

- ➤ Gov. Kelly Armstrong signed a property tax relief bill that more than triples the primary residence credit from $500 to $1,600 per year—using $409 million from the Legacy Fund to cover the relief. Lawmakers also approved a 3% cap on local property tax budgets and set a $20.3 billion state budget for 2025-27. KVRR
