ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters from Fargo and West Fargo responded to a house fire at 2665 Meadow Creek Circle S in south Fargo on Friday at 10:12 a.m.—thick smoke was visible several blocks away. KVRR
- ➤ A two-alarm house fire broke out Friday morning at 2665 Meadow Creek Circle South around 10:15 a.m.—fire crews found heavy smoke and flames in the basement that spread to the attic and roof and, although everyone evacuated safely, residents were displaced and are receiving help from the Red Cross as the fire was brought under control in about an hour. - ➤ North Dakota Trooper Jimmy Myers received the Distinguished Service Medal for rescuing a woman during a homicide response in Larimore in 2024 (he is only the eighth trooper to win the agency’s highest honor). AM 1100 The Flag
- ➤ State Representative Jim Kasper underwent surgery for a brain bleed after initial reports of a stroke — he is now alert and responsive while his family travels to Bismarck to be with him. AM 1100 The Flag
- ➤ Gov. Kelly Armstrong signed a bill that will require K-12 public schools to enforce a phone-free rule during class — all devices must be securely stored until dismissal. The law will take effect on Aug. 1. KVRR
