- ➤ McDonald’s North Star Alliance donated $160,000 by contributing 25 cents from each Shamrock Shake sold from February 10th to March 23rd to support nine Ronald McDonald House Charities in North Dakota and Minnesota. Jakelle Hoffmann of the Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley said they were grateful for the funds, which came from sales at 24 locally-owned restaurants (a key source of support). KVRR

- ➤ Timothy Lowseth, 38, was arrested on multiple charges including burglary after a break-in was reported at a business on the 9700 block of Industrial Drive in Horace at 3:00 a.m. Monday - the Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating possible links to other crimes. AM 1100 The Flag

- ➤ Hector International Airport reported 12 straight months of record boardings—carrying over 1.1 million passengers and 348 million pounds of cargo during 2024 and early 2025. The airport is expanding its terminal and building a new parking garage with 1,000 spaces—completing the parking ramp this summer while terminal upgrades finish in 2027. AM 1100 The Flag

- ➤ Minnesota State University Moorhead has hired Aaron Krenz as its new yellow ribbon advance director — he will work to support career readiness and strengthen community ties for Veterans and military-connected students. Krenz retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Minnesota Army National Guard after 33 years of service and is an alumnus of the university. WDAY Radio

- ➤ State officials at the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality opened a comment period on the environmental permit for a proposed 25,000-cow Herberg Dairy in Traill County so that anyone concerned about manure handling can share input until June 2 — a public hearing will be held on May 20 from 5–8 p.m. at Hillsboro High School gym.
