  • Fifty-two-year-old Barrett Prody, the former owner of JT Cigarro’s & O’Leary’s Irish Pub, was sentenced to nearly 16 years in federal court for leading a cocaine operation in Fargo-Moorhead that sold over 55 pounds of the drug and laundered the money for real estate and investments.  AM 1100 The Flag

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Revised textbooks on the five Native American tribes that share land with North Dakota will be ready for next school year thanks to a joint effort between the state’s Department of Public Instruction, tribes, and higher education groups—federal grant money helped update the nearly 30-year-old texts and a new version from the Sisseton-Wahpeton tribe was written in 90 days. The ebooks will be free online this summer and print editions will be sent to schools in the fall.  KVRR
