- ➤ Happy Harry's Ribfest has announced a four-day music festival in the Fargodome parking lot (June 3 to June 6) featuring Spin Doctors on Wednesday night, Chris Cagle on Thursday, Foghat on Friday, and Firehouse with Lita Ford to close the event on Saturday. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ NDSU Student Research Days took place April 8-9 at Memorial Union, featuring 260 undergrad & grad students who presented research in poster sessions & oral presentations and competed for awards. NDSU
- ➤ NDSU’s Tapestry will induct seven community members at noon on Wednesday, April 15 in the Anishinaabe Theater — a reception will follow immediately at the Butte Lounge. NDSU
- ➤ Marshall Stewart and Brian Kalk have signed contracts as presidents at NDSU and Bismarck State College — Stewart begins on May 25 with a $550,000 salary and moving expenses while Kalk starts on Thursday with a $310,000 salary and $2,000 monthly housing allowance. KVRR

- ➤ North Dakota lawmakers (responding to tribal input) are drafting an IMD waiver to expand Medicaid mental health coverage that may improve services for tribal citizens. The proposal will be discussed Monday at the Tribal and State Relations Committee meeting (held on the Turtle Mountain Reservation). KVRR
