  • NDSU’s Tapestry of Inclusion will induct seven community members during a ceremony on April 16 at noon at Memorial Union’s Anishinaabe Theater (with a reception following in the Butte Lounge). The program honors those who actively promote inclusion and diversity on campus and in the community.  NDSU

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Legislators considered a bill on March 27 to create a Feather Alert for missing Indigenous people after family members, including the parents of Rezno Bullhead who has been missing since March 16, testified in support of the measure. Law enforcement agencies expressed concerns about the bill’s details, and the committee is set to make recommendations on its provisions soon — prompting an ongoing review of the alert criteria.  KVRR
  • Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner said in an interview that the new jail addition may be delayed by up to 30 days because the glass for the cell doors was not ordered on time. He stressed that public safety depends on completing the building on schedule—he described a recent meeting with the architect as concerning.  WDAY Radio
