- ➤ Community organizers held the Empty Bowls fundraiser at Swing Barrel Brewing Company on Saturday to help Churches United support the Dorothy Day Food Pantry—attendees paid $35 for a handcrafted bowl and local soups, with all proceeds benefiting the pantry. KVRR
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Sleep medicine specialist Erin Jirak from Essentia Health says DST’s clock change reduces morning sunlight—misaligning sleep rhythms and raising risks for heart attacks, strokes, and vehicle accidents. Lawmakers debated ending DST but failed due to border town concerns. KVRR

- ➤ North Dakota Horse Park in Fargo will host its 23rd live horse racing season starting Friday, July 10 (free t-shirt giveaway for the first 500 guests) and continue through four weekends with eight racing days concluding on Sunday, Aug. 2. KVRR
- ➤ On Saturday, the Moorhead Spuds won a double overtime game 5-4 against Minnetonka in the Class 2A state hockey championship. Evan Wanner scored the winning goal & helped the team repeat its title in a comeback victory. KVRR
