EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ North Dakota State Board of Higher Education passed a new tenure policy that requires future professors to hold a master's or advanced degree; current faculty are not affected. The policy was finalized to meet a July 1 rule and allows colleges to hire non-tenure-track teachers for specialized programs. KVRR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After years working with the FAA, North Dakota now uses a new radar feed through its Vantis system — a tool developed by the Northern Plains UAS Test Site — to enhance air travel safety statewide. The system will be tested over the next year to support research and improve drone operations. KVRR
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ NDHSAA hockey tournaments continue as boys’ quarterfinal games kick off later today, with WF Sheyenne (5:30 p.m.) facing GF Red River and GF Central (8 p.m.) playing Bismarck Legacy. NDHSAA girls hold semifinals featuring Fargo North-South (12 p.m.) versus West Fargo United and Grand Forks (2:30 p.m.) against Fargo Davies. KVRR
