Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 28th of February.
Good morning, Fargo.
North Dakota State Board of Higher Education passed a new tenure policy that requires future professors to hold a master's or advanced degree; current faculty are not affected.
The policy was finalized to meet a July 1 rule and allows colleges to hire non-tenure-track teachers for specialized programs.
After years working with the FAA, North Dakota now uses a new radar feed through its Vantis system — a tool developed by the Northern Plains UAS Test Site — to enhance air travel safety statewide.
The system will be tested over the next year to support research and improve drone operations.
NDHSAA hockey tournaments continue as boys’ quarterfinal games kick off later today, with WF Sheyenne (5:30 p.m.) facing GF Red River and GF Central (8 p.m.) playing Bismarck Legacy.
