- ➤ Since August 1936, the North Dakota Association of the Blind has helped people with low vision by offering practical programs like its summer camp and policy advocacy. The group is raising funds on Giving Hearts Day (a fundraising drive) as it marks 90 years of service. KVRR
- ➤ A local sports bar is raising funds for Golden Drive For Homeless Kids and has posted hearts with donor names (including an employee contributing $3,000) to track progress. Donations will be accepted until Giving Hearts Day on Feb. 12. KVRR

- ➤ The ninth annual Northern Corn and Soybean Expo gathered farmers and experts at Butler Machinery Arena in West Fargo — speakers discussed market, weather, and railroad updates. Next year's expo is scheduled for February 9. KVRR

- ➤ NDSU announced new Interim President Rick Berg, a graduate and former U.S. House Representative, to work with legislative leaders and prepare for the next president. He will begin his role Monday as outgoing President David Cook departs for Iowa State University. KVRR
