- ➤ Twin Hospitality Group filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Texas but Twin Peaks restaurants will remain open – including the location across from West Acres in Fargo. The company plans to reorganize to maximize value for its stockholders. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today, NDSU awarded up to $6,000 in grants for arts, humanities, and social science projects that advance faculty careers and boost national visibility. One project supports the Fargo-Moorhead America 250 Commemoration (a historic community celebration) while other funding bolsters creative work in research and performance. NDSU
- ➤ Nominations for NDSU’s Tapestry of Inclusion are open until March 2 at 11:59 p.m. Individuals who promote inclusion will be honored at an induction ceremony on April 15 at noon in the Anishinaabe Theatre (Memorial Union), where their fabric pieces become part of a permanent campus display. NDSU
- ➤ The 2026 NDSU Soybean Symposium will be held on March 5 at Memorial Union in Fargo, where researchers, Extension professionals, and students will present soybean research, compete in student competitions, and network with industry partners; abstract submissions are accepted until Feb. 5. NDSU

- ➤ North Dakota groups will host a discussion series on constitutional ballot measures (covering rules for initiatives, term limits, and a 60% approval threshold) starting today at 6:30 p.m. at Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library; further sessions are scheduled on Feb. 5 in Fargo and on Feb. 12 in Minot.
