BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ JD's Barbeque and Catering opened its doors on Friday, Jan. 23 on Main Avenue in Fargo. Owner Dave Geske said the restaurant now serves smoked ribs and brisket in the space formerly occupied by Jay’s Smokin’ BBQ and Mom’s Kitchen while also offering a new catering service. KVRR

- ➤ NDSU Press’ biography of Lawrence Welk by Lance Richey won a national Independent Press Award in the Biography: Historical category+ three other titles were also honored for their contributions to preserving local history.
