- ➤ Salvation Army reached 90% of its $850,000 goal last holiday season by raising $762,728. Local groups earned awards, with realtors (more than $31,000 raised) taking the top honor while Cass County Sheriff and West Fargo Fire received recognition for volunteer efforts. KVRR
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The FM Symphony will perform with the Fargo-Moorhead Area Youth Symphonies at the upcoming Masterworks concert. The groups will share the stage and learn from each other while performing pieces by Antonin Dvorak. KVRR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ NDSU engineering seniors have delivered an automated screw gun system that improves ceiling panel construction for Advanced Volumetric Alliance (AVA), with a prototype featuring three screw guns on a 4-foot span and plans to scale to a 16-foot gantry next spring. NDSU
- ➤ NDSU and North Dakota's Gateway to Science signed a memorandum today in Bismarck to expand hands-on STEM programs for K-12 students. The partnership will focus on delivering mobile outreach and STEMzone kits in engineering and precision ag to benefit rural and underserved communities. NDSU
- ➤ NDSU offers a student case management program that helps students overcome issues like housing, food insecurity, and relationship challenges through on-campus workshops and referrals. Angela Reinke leads the team to connect students with essential campus and community resources to boost academic and personal success. NDSU
